Boardroom Directorships

EOLIS's experience in corporate boardrooms spans more than five decades, beginning in 1971 when Wendeen H. Eolis was appointed as a special advisor to the board of Caesars World after she completed two attorney search assignments for the newly constituted public company. Wendeen has since served as a special advisor, an ex officio Board member, and/or as a consultant to senior-level C-Suite executives of numerous companies. Examples of boardroom consulting and C-Suite clients have included Caesars Entertainment, TransWorld Airlines, GAF Corporation, Citibank, AT&T, MGM,  Palo Alto Networks, and Time Warner among others.

Beginning in the late 80s, EOLIS  conducted corporate board searches. The practice grew through the Company's contacts and its database of lawyers and law firms the Company helped to engage for special counsel roles. By 2010, the Company was ready to roll out its Boardroom Advisory Services Division. It was designed to grow the Boardroom search and vetting assignments and boardroom preparation to the menu of attorney career transition services.

In 2023, Bloomberg Law News interviewed three experienced boardroom consultants, including Wendeen, and concluded  from their separate interviews that "We have reached the Golden Age for lawyers on boards." As an advisor to CEOs, Board chairs, and nom/gov committees, EOLIS is accustomed to identifying and presenting top-level legal talent with suitable interpersonal skills for board positions. EOLIS's extensive boardroom experience has been acknowledged in legal and boardroom publications, and Wendeen is well-known as an advocate for qualified lawyers seeking board seats.
